Bodhi Bhavan Seminar House offers breathtaking views all the way to the sea and unforgettable sunsets.
Nestled in the magical nature of the Algarve, atop the second-highest mountain in Portugal, it enjoys pleasantly mild temperatures even during summer.
In this peaceful oasis, you can truly unwind and cultivate new insights and visions with clarity and inner strength. The place is very clear and mystical, radiating powerful healing energy.
Accommodation at Bodhi Bhavan
The main house, with its bedrooms, is located at the center of the terraced property. The beautifully designed rooms with bathrooms are individually furnished in elegant simplicity.
They vary in size and view, and some feature a private terrace, perfect for enjoying the tranquility of the garden.
A truly special experience is sleeping in the yurt under the vast night sky in the garden and waking up in the morning to the sounds of nature.
Meditation room with a great view
The beautiful Bhavan Meditation Hall, situated at the highest point of the hill, is surrounded by untouched nature, filled with birdsong and the rustling of the wind through the trees.
It offers a breathtaking view over the hills, and in the distance, you can see Portugal’s wild coastline.
The wall facing the valley is fitted with large glass doors that can be fully opened, creating a seamless connection with the landscape.
Lovingly prepared vegetarian meals
An experienced chef prepares delicious organic meals. With many years of experience in plant-based cuisine, he has cooked for numerous seminars and spiritual festivals. Gluten-free and vegan options are also available.
The living room is the heart of the house. This space opens onto the open patio, where we gather around the large table to enjoy meals together or unwind in a cozy, relaxed atmosphere in the evenings.
Refreshing swimming pool
There is a wonderful swimming pool filled with delightfully refreshing spring water, where you can swim freely and then relax in the sun. The natural spring water flows from various points in the mountains, offering a welcome refreshment on hot days.
In the pool’s relaxation area, with sun loungers in the shade, we can meet during breaks and simply unwind together.
Excursions in the surrounding area
A popular excursion takes you to the dramatic cliffs of the Algarve near Portimão, with their picturesque rock formations – and on a free afternoon, there is the option to take a boat tour (not included in the price).
The charming towns of Faro and Olhão, as well as the Rio Formosa lagoon, a protected nature reserve can be explored by boat or kayak. Tavira has a charming old town, and on a hilltop there is an old church with a peaceful garden.
